For the remainder of 2020, Bandcamp is offering “no fees” events on the first Friday of every month, where for 24 magical hours all earnings go direct to the artists.
This August there are five things we would like to highlight in addition to what you can find on our Bandcamp page.
The sixth installment in our Silkworm live series.
This month’s previously unreleased Silkworm live tape is an additional Chicago show – going back to July 1995 at the Empty Bottle when the band played with The For Carnation, Engine Kid and Iceburn.
Another “name your price” SKWM download. Collect them all!
Kind of Like Spitting pays tribute to Karl Hendricks.
Ben Barnett and his band Kind of Like Spitting have recorded a full 10 song album of Karl Hendricks Trio covers, with all proceeds going to Karl’s wife and children. It is a beautiful, fully-realized collection we highly recommend.
New Edsel EP!
Edsel finished up their final recordings from 2001 and have released this trio of tunes as an EP titled “A Lost Language.”
19 years in the making and available for the first time today!
Mint Mile vinyl on Bandcamp.
At your request, we’ve added all the Mint Mile EPs to Bandcamp alongside the soon-to-be-sold out Ambertron. Pick up some records here.
There is also a great new Mint Mile shirt, but you have to go here to purchase. All profits from this tee will be donated to the Chicago Community Bond Fund.
